TAKAFUL GROUP EDUCATION PLAN

The Plan is the cheapest Takaful cover available to Muslim parents/Guardian.

It creates a sufficient estate for a child to guarantee the completion of his education

in the event of death or permanent disability of his parent/guardian.

HOW IT WORKS

Ø Eligible parent/Guardian must be between ages 18 – 60 years

Ø Contribution will be paid along with the school fees every term.

Ø The plan will essentially be non-medical except where school fees

exceed =N=1,000,000 and the age of parent/Guardian of the child exceeds 41 years.

Ø School fees shall be paid to the school upon death or permanent disability

of the Sponsor Parent/Guardian per term until the child graduates from

Nursery/Primary or Secondary school as the case may be.

Ø The school fees will be as determined by the school authority.

Ø The funds are invested in line with Islamic ethics.

BENEFITS

1. The Plan will pay for the education of the named child on the death of

parent/guardian by natural or accidental causes.

2. The scheme will pay for the education of the child named on the policy

if the sponsor parent/guardian is permanently disabled.

3. It allows for conversion to Takaful Individual Education Plan

(Al- Ilmu Plan) in case the named child transfers to another school.

4. One child could be substituted for another during the session.

5. Where the name child repeats a class (maximum of 2 times)

the policy will pay school fees until such a child leaves school

consequent upon the death/permanent disability of the sponsor

parent/guardian.

6. Free career and counselling program for the pupil/student.
